The PC game "Throne of Darkness" (published by Sierra in...2000?) has
a great taiko drum soundtrack. Since the game no longer exists, and
neither the game or the website has any information about this
soundtrack, I've decided to post a question here: who made the
music, and is it available for purchase, either in its original form
as source material or as an official soundtrack? |

Dear pinkrisu,
Please let me know if this is acceptable as an answer.
It is not much, but it is all that is available: The music soundtrack
of "Throne of Darkness" was made by composer Mark Hardy of Chicago.
And one of the pieces, the First Citadel Theme, is legally available
for download here; I tested the link and it works:
http://vnfiles.ign.com/rpgvault/tod/castle.mp3
Read all information that is available here:
http://rpgvaultarchive.ign.com/features/media/todelements10.shtml
Apart from this, I did not find anything else, and it does not seem
that the music is available elsewhere, neither on CD nor for download.
Please let me know if this is the information you were looking for.
Regards,
Scriptor

Hi Scriptor,
Thank you for this information! The MP3 file is certainly great, but
I'd still like to know if there's a way to get a hold of the rest of
the soundtrack...perhaps directly from the game's distributor?
Would it be possible for you to find out how I would go about
requesting this from Sierra? Is there a person or department that I
could contact?
...or is this outside the bounds of my original question?
Thanks!

Hi,
I posted my clarification question on April 18th, but haven't gotten a
reply. Am I supposed to be doing something special here?
Thanks!
