I don't know the context other than I saw this quote listed as if it
were a quote from some author.  I assumed it was from a work of
fiction, but that may not be correct.  I wish I could tell you more,
but this is all I know.  I am a psychologist and interested in the
subjective experience of boredom.  I'm always looking for how this is
portrayed in literature.
