I am writing a paper on how Gloria Naylor's "Mama Day" and Bell Hook's "Bone Black" use description to create different reader expectations. Mama Day has uses lots of detail, history and character development; Bone Black is fuzzier and provides a rough outline of story events. I'd like help finding any internet research/literary criticism about these books, if possible literary criticism that deals with how these authors use description. I need Google Answers assistance by April 23rd if I am to use it in my paper. Thank you. :) |
