I know that IBM auctions off computers that just came off the lease.
This auction, which is held at the corporate headquarters, is
specifically for computers that are defective and that were not tested
by IBM for quality control. I would like more information on how to
find out when the auction is held, and how to sign up as a buyer.

Here are two links to information on IBM's sales of off-lease and
other used equipment:

http://www-1.ibm.com/financing/pdf/ww/igf5-a184.pdf

http://www.ibm.com/shop/used

These are sales of certified rather than defective equipment, but I
wanted to (a) make sure that you were aware of these resources and (b)
find out if this is what you're after, or if you're looking for
something else.

Let me know, please.
