Meaning: One is faced with the prospect of falling into Nihilism: How
did one come to [even consider] the possibility of such a disturbing
conclusion?

Answer: One got to this point because one's focus has gotten too small
[for understanding] or one has lost sight of a larger perspective.
This would probably have occurred because either one is asking a
meaningless question (such as why?) or one has forgotten that fun is a
validly "meaningful" answer to such a question.

Interesting question.
