Desire information re. artist E. F. Miller.  I have an engraving?
woodcut? signed and dated 1868.

I believe the EF Miller was a "landscape gardener" now known as a
"landscape architect" Your print  [wood engraving?] may have been used
as an illustration in Jacob Weidenmann's book - Beautifying country
homes: a handbook of landscape gardening, illustrated by plans of
places already improved.  New York: Orange Judd [1870].  This volume
was reprinted in the 1970s and you may be able to find this facsimile
reprint in a library and see if your engraving was used in it.

How in the world did you know about Miller?  I just found the book in
the Library of Congress.  Think I will take a trip to DC
