Hello and thank you for your question. You'll find the report you've quoted at http://www.beaufort.k12.nc.us/nes/CharlottesWebWQ/charlottehome.htm The Arable's farm is filled with anticipation as a new litter of pigs is born. When Mr. Arable decides to kill the runt of the litter, Fern implores her father to spare his life. She promises to care for the pig whom she lovingly names Wilbur. Wilbur is eventually moved to Fern's Uncle Zuckerman's farm and as a result, becomes very sad and lonely until a voice in the darkness befriends him and promises to save his life. Charlotte, a clever spider, uses various web-spinning creations to write words about Wilbur in her web. People come from miles around to observe the remarkable words which describe the astonishing pig. Wilbur wins a ribbon at the county fair and his life is spared. Charlotte begins to languish but before dying, leaves an egg sac filled with hundreds of tiny spider eggs. Upon Charlotte's death, Wilbur cares for the spiderlings until they hatch.
