I need rough estimate of average cost per call and average # of calls
made by employees within a corporation in any reasonable time period
(day/week/month/year).  Breakdown by internal vs. external destination
even better.

Things like employee wages per min
of calls? Phone company surcharges?
Phone equipment costs? You mentioned
internal destination... does that mean
station to station (intracompany)?

I guess we would need to know the size
of the corporation. How many employees.
How many are executives, how many are
regular workers and how many are hired
for phone duty (secretaries, telemarket,
admin assistants, etc).

Only because I see there being a large
range of phone use between these groups.
I even have a large range of # of calls
per day and that changes through the
week too. Unless this is beyond the scope
of your question?

Assume a reasonably large company of 5000 to 50000 employees.  I just
need rough data on what they spend on telephone charges per year and
how many calls that represents.

I don't want an individual estimate...I want you to find this data
from a third party source that I can cite.
