The Bronsted definition of an acid is a compound that donates a hydrogen ion (H+) to another compound, while a Bronsted base is a compound that accepts a hydrogen ion from another compound. To solve your homework problem, figure out which compound is doing the donating and which the receiving in your reaction. |
