I need to modify the Lights project to a computer screen user
interface instead of sending the info to serial port.

Thank you very much Mathtalk

Hi, amy123456-ga:

Great to hear from you, Amy!

A few points to clarify:

1) Does "instead" mean we will not use the serial port at all? Or do
you want to create a computer screen display in addition to the serial
port interface?

2) Should the computer screen display look like the light box? Blinking colors??

3) Should the computer screen display be on the same computer as where
the orders & fulfillments are processed? (In which case the screen
"real estate" will somehow need to be divided between these two
functions.)

regards, mathtalk-ga

We are going to use both options but on different areas of the hospital.
The floors will continue as they are. The (OR - Surgery) would like to have
the computer screen display Look like the lights box. (Blinking and so forth)

Thank you Mathtalk - I was hopping that you were still there.

Is this then a separate installation of the "project", ie. for the
OR/Surgery? In the sense that (like a separate floor) the doctor's
orders & fulfillment events are managed separately from the other
installations?

Omigosh, Amy! Time has really snuck up on me. I'm pulling an all
nighter as it is to create a presentation for tomorrow at work, or I'd
try to get you something.

So, sorry, I'm definitely interested but just didn't budget my time
well this month.

regards, mathtalk-ga
