I am about to purchase a GPS unit. This is most likely to be a Garmin iQue 3600 or a Garmin GPSMAP76CS. I live in Si Lanka and I will need a high definition map for Sri Lanka with as much useful detail as possible. How and from where can I obtain such map/s? Mr. Mahendra Ambani |

Your best bet is probably the Survey Department of Sri Lanka who offer topographical maps covering the entire island, ranging in scale from 1:250,000 to 1:10,000 as well as detailed town maps. Their prices are very reasonable too! http://www.survey-dept.slt.lk/products/products_homepage.htm |

Can you tell me if this is working in Sri Lanka? I mean - Can you get the road directions through GPS like in US? |
