I need to know a song I heard in about 2000ish, which kind of sounds
like a mike oldfield song, but is based on a Ennio Morricone song
called "La Resa Dei Conti".
If you listen to the last 40 odd seconds of that, theres a "ding ding
a ding ding" motive, like from a music box. This was sampled over a
trance like track - I
need to know it cause its driving me nuts!!

Additional information - its probably not a sample but a
reinterpretation of the theme, and I'm pretty sure its punctuated by
Gun Fire made to sound like a drum beat (or a drum beat made to sound
like gunfire).

Here are some links to the song you referenced, which look to contain
some remixes. Personally i haven't heard the song to know if it is
the one you are looking for or not.

Thank you so much kanitzkitzera-ga, 187 lockdown is exactly what I'm
after! Now the task of finding the mix I'd heard drunk in a club 5
years ago! ;-)
