I think I've coined a new term "e-dentity" as in "e-dentity theft",
when someone (usually a spammer) uses your e-mail address. Is this a
new term or has someone used it before?

Hello nelson,

I saw your April 21 comment for the first time today.

Well, I searched for "e-dentity" or "edentity" on major search engines
such as Google and Yahoo!, plus Google Groups.

Top results for "e-dentity" and "edentity" on Google and Yahoo!
include some uses in senses similar (though not identical) to the one
that you've indicated. For example:

"Building an E-dentity for Each Student," by John C. Ittelson
EDUCAUSE
http://www.educause.edu/ir/library/pdf/EQM0147.pdf

As for "e-dentity theft" or "edentity theft," you won't see it on
Google, Yahoo!, MSN (except for your question), Gigablast, A9, Ixquick
(again, except for your question), or Google Groups. I conclude that
even if someone, somewhere, has used this term -- perhaps in an
unpublished paper -- the public doesn't know about it.

"E-dentity" (or "edentity") appears in various contexts, but
"e-dentity theft" may be new.

Edentity theft is a new term.
Copyright it now before it's too late and someone steals it!
