In order to include some quotes by C.G. Jung as chapter headings in a
novel I'm writing, I need to request permission for the quotes from
Princeton Press. These originated from my own Web research, so for
some of the fields on the publisher?s permissions request form, I have
no information.
For each quote, I need to obtain the following information: ISBN,
Title, Copyright line from front of book and pages on which material
is found. I need someone with access to a hard copy of ?The Complete
Works of C.G. Jung? to gather this information. An example of the full
citation I?m looking for is the following:
Begin example:
Quote: ?The factors which come together in the coniunctio are
conceived as opposites, either confronting one another in enmity or
attracting one another in love.?
?Mysterium Coniunctionis,? The Collected Works of C.G. Jung, Vol. 14.
Copyright c 1963 by Bollingen Foundation, New York, N.Y.
Second Edition c 1970 by Princeton University Press,
Published by Princeton University Press, Princeton, N.J.
Second printing, 1974
Third printing, 1976
Seventh printing, 1989
Page 3.
End example.
My request follows:
Two of the quotes for which I need information are from the Complete
Works, Volume 11, ?Psychology and Religion.? The only information I
have is a copyright of 1938 and an associated paragraph or page number
of 131 (for both).
?Unfortunately there can be no doubt that man is, on the whole, less
good than he imagines himself or wants to be.?
?If an inferiority is conscious, one always has a chance to correct it.?
I am setting a price of $10 for these two quotes. However, if a
researcher has access to the entire complete works and it would be
convenient for him/her to collect information on the other fourteen
quotes for which I need information (I have a page/paragraph for five
of these, which should make finding some of them easier), I will post
these also for an additional $25 for the whole lot. Just let me know. |
