What was the name of the Chicago Cubs first basement, who, prior to
coming to the Cubs, had played with the Tampa Bas Devil Rays?   He was
a veteran player and had played with several other teams prior to the
Devil Rays and the Cubs.  I believe he played for Chicago in either
the 2003 0r 2004 season

Derrick Lee is the First baseman now and has been since 2004.  He
previously played for the Florida Marlins since 1998.  Before that he
was with San Diego for a season.

In 2003 Randall Simon was the first baseman for a portion of the
season.  He previously played for the Pirates, Tigers and Braves.  He
has since gone to Tampa Bay but only batted in 8 games down there.

Also, Eric Karros, played 1B for the Cubs in 2003.  He has never
played for the Devil Rays.  He played for the LA Dodgers for 12
seasons.
