Paul Martin the Prime Minister of Canada would most likely have a
rather unremarkable profile. The Bush Admin. has been intent on
unseating him and replacing him with a Conservative govt.

The famous profiles (2) done by psychiatrists for the OSS on Hitler
were obviously done for purposes of winning WW II. They were heavily
based on his book Mein Kampf, his correspondence, those who knew him
early in life etc.

Most countries have intelligence estimates done on major leaders they
will encounter. Family history, education, health, means of success,
marriage(s)-children-mistresses, military service, peronal habits,
neuroses etc.

Never know when business or diplomatic negotiations become important.

FDR entrusted Canadian PM Wm. Lyon Mackenzie King to organize the
Quebec confrence during WW II when espionage by the Axis powers was a
major problem.

Curiously, PM Pierre Trudeau went to China exactly one year before
President  Nixon went. The US and Canadian media low keyed the visit.

You are correct, my mistake. David Frum is the speech writer who is
Canadian. Not sure how one goes about getting actual "profiles" of
world leaders as they are classified material. They can be handy and
inaccurate. Pierre Trudeau defied all estimates. The general truth
that Canadians elect dull politicians and reject colorful types
American-style, was clearly not true of P.E.T.

It is considered unethical for psychiatrist or psychologists to create
"profiles" by remote methods today. These are prepaired by teams
officially commissioned by the govt.

Sigmund Freud and Ambassador Wm. Bullitt coauthored a rather dreadful
book in the 1930's. A hatchet job on Woodrow Wilson entitled "Thomas
Woodrow Wilson". An obssession of the ambassador (fired by WW) who
conned the good Doctor. Arm chair analysis usually lacks key details
not commonly known.
