Hello to all!
THIS SERVICE I SPEAK ABOUT EXISTS!!! - I lost their website address.
Here is how it works: You drive around with your handheld GPS. When
you see a property you like (real estate), you click your GPS to
'mark' that spot. You can click as many properties as you like.
Next, you go home, plug in your GPS to your computer. With an
'online' connection, I believe you go to their service. Their service
recognizes your GPS coordinates and spits out:
Parcel ID # (number), physical address, owner's mailing address,
property taxes on property, how much the current owner paid & when,
the size (and sometimes dimensions) of property, etc. Basically,
this company is hooked up with TONS of public records in various
counties in different states. If I remember correctly, they had a
bunch of states available (and corresponding counties). Florida was
an included state. Their pricing structure was based on how
many 'clicks' (or coordinates) you have. Depending on the plan you
are on, I think you get 30, 50, or 80 'clicks' per month for a set
fee (I don't remember if it cost $40/$50, $80 or $120 per month). If
you are on a lower plan, you can pay a little more for the
adidtional 'clicks'.
--> Their online service is what converts the GPS coordinates to
determine Parcel ID info. It is possible that they make you D/L an
interface program, however, you must still access their online site.
Other details I remember are: they have a list of 'compatible' GPS
units (ie: Garmin, etc. <-- don't know if Garmin is compatible, just
using as an example). I believe they also, obviously, had particular
models listed.
Now, there are NO maps involved in this online service. All they do
is convert your GPS coordinates from your GPS unit into the property
information card info. This is NOT a university, local government,
etc. The company is a regular for-profit company. I could have
discovered them through a real-estate magazine or an online search.
However, on online searches, I dig 20+ pages deep if I need to, in
order to find the info I require.
I need "real" researchers who can find this information. What I don't
need and will not pay for are answers that aren't even remotely
related to my question. There is one other question (Question
ID:201550) in this answer forum that talks about gps-type websites;
HOWEVER, that information is NOT what I need. The facts I've
provided, though lengthy, are
VERY SIMPLE. Read this question thoroughly (even re-read if needed).
I will be more than happy to add extra details if you need and/or
comment on what you may have found. I am very serious about finding
this company and will gladly pay. If I'm feeling extra cheery the day
someone finds this website, I might even pay more, no kidding.
Thanks in advance. |

In case you find another company which does the same thing, I
specifically need Florida (from Central Florida down south to the
tip). I will receive an email whenever there is a post to this
question, so I should be able to clarify and/or respond in a quick
manner. Also, this company might offer existing or 'new' products
that deal with maps, however, as long as you find the company which
offers what is asked in my question, they can obviously also have
other products such as maps, etc - I merely don't care about these
additional products.
Thanks again.
