I need to know what companies install power ports in airliners. These
are power ports used for things like laptops. Please include the
names of companies and any pricing information.

Are you wanting to actually install one of these devices, or do you
just want information about them? This is the EmPower(TM) connector
system, manufactured by the Primex Aerospace Co. This specific device
is used by over 40 airlines, more than 1600 planes.

There were questions about using the connector with a laptop before;
search google answers for 168147 and 475832.

I just want information on who installs them, I'm doing a project for
a marketing class where I suggest an airline installs them. I'm
trying to find a ballpark estimate for how much it costs an airline to
install these power ports on an airplane. Thank you.

From what I've read so far, there was a certain amount of retrofitting
when the first in-seat power systems were installed starting in 1996.
it seems that as new planes are being ordered, the in-seat power
systems are being installed on all seats. That would be up to the
manufacturer following the specs of the airline customer. I'll keep
looking to see what I can find out about costs.
