I have a handful of home VHS-C tapes from different events (birthdays, etc.) that I would like produced into a 1 hour VHS tape with musical background. I don't want to do this myself, nor do I have a family member that wants to do it. Does anyone know how I can have this done for less than $150 ? Whoever does this needs to view the tapes (I don't want to view every one and make the edit list by hand), determine the cuts, add the music and render the video, sending me one or more copies. | |

The most cost effective way would be to make the edit list yourself. By handing it over to a professional to make the edit decisions, you are asking them to take their time to view all the tapes and come up with what they think will look good. This is going to take many hours, and people who do this for a living have to bill for their time. One option would be to post an ad in local camera and video stores looking for a good amature editor to do this for you. With the current crop of Mac and PC based video capture and editing tools, I'd bet you would get acceptible results for the money. Good luck! |
