Its driving me crazy trying to find out who sings this song. It
sounded like Ralph Tresvant of New Edition but it's not (i think). It
sounded nore like an early to mid 90's r&b style. The Artist either
had a high pitch voice or they were very young. I only have a clip of
the song from a slow jamz mix and it goes like this,
" my one heart does beat for you, the love I feel is really true, the
kind of love that's one on one, the kind that you've always dreamed
of..(x2)I think the name of the song is "my one heart" but when I try
to find it using that name nothing comes up. It definetly has an early
to mid 90's R&B flavor.

I ment to type above that the song sounds more like an early to mid
90's r&b style. I accidently typed "nore" what I ment to type is
"more". During the clip of the song, in the backround the artist is
singing "my one heart" in a high pitch voice. It kind of sounds like
the lead singer in the R&B group "Troop" but it's not.

The only song I know that has lyrics similar to the lyrics you've
quoted is "One Heart," written by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and sung
by Karyn White on her album "Ritual of Love":
 
"My one heart does beat for you 
 The love I feel is really true 
 The kind of love that?s one on one 
 The kind that you?ve always dreamed of 
 I do love you, I do love you 
 And my heart beats for you..."

Sorry pinkfreud-ga, its not "one heart" my Karen White, I listened to
the clip and that's not it. It's alot faster than that and it's
definetly a male vocalist. It sounds like Ralph Tresvant of New
Edition but its not. It sounds like a song that was in the early to
mid 90's and is in the Karen White, Shai, Troop, New Edition, Hi-Five,
Mint Condition era.

I think the clip of the song that I have is the chorrus of the song

Ahha - boyz II men is something i found on a google search

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were also producers for New Edition and for
several of the solo members when the band split up.

It's possible that one of them may have recorded a cover of the Karyn White song.

The mix that you got that clip... Is it the DJ Opus megamix?  I'm
trying to find that song, too...

If it's on that DJ Opus Slow Jam mix... It's "One Heart" by Karyn
White.  It's the bridge of the song, not the chorus.

IT HAS AN EARLY 90'S VIBE. IF YOU HAVE BEARSHARE TYPE IN " mixes -
slow jamz 2" and listen toward the end. If your timer should have 11
minutes left of the song if it is counting down to 0, it your using
itunes you should have 18.50 minutes left on your song timer because
itunes begins counting from 0. It is the clip after when boyz 2 men
counts down from 10 to 0 and says " injection fellas" and right after
the clip it is a clip of a stevie b. song. The mix is sbout 29 minutes
and 50 seconds long.

I played this song a lot during the early 90s deejaying. Rumor has it
that sometime after this single was released, one of the members were
either involved in a shooting or got shot and died. I never confirmed
that though.
The single is hard to come by. I haven't seen it out there. I have the
12" vinyl but not parting with it. I believe the record label was MCA
but I'm not sure.

I didn't believe it either, but it is "One Heart" by Karyn White. 
That line is not the chorus.  It's at the end of the song, and is
therefore not on the clip from Tower Records, as DJ Opus states above.
 He (or she) also lists it as part of the megamix on his (or her)
website.

It is definately by The Newtrons.......i remember when i first started
getting into R&B and Hip Hop I bought that CD from a pawn shop a block
from my house...I listened to My heart Beats for you Over and over and
over...it used to drive my mother crazy.....About a year after I
bought the cd my mother yelled at me to come down and watch the news
that there was something about the Newtrons on it....One of them had
tried to rob a store and the clerk shot him...I remember I cried the
whole weekend......
