I'm a beginner triathlete and would like a list of triathlons that are
happening in the Summer and Fall of 2005 in the western US.  I would
like a comprehensive list compiled (rather than a single website
reference) of triathlons that meet the following criteria:
(1) Swim event takes place in a pool (no lake or ocean) and is at most 1.5 miles
(2) Held in any state west of the Mississippi (however, my preferences
are CA, TX, MT, OR, WA,IL)
The price reflects that I have done some searching but found that the
list would take more than just a few quick searches to be
comprehensive.

It would be very helpful if you would share your findings, especially
what you found difficult that led you to this conclusion. It would
also be helpful if you told us what resources or events you've already
identified on your own so that we don't duplicate your efforts.

Dear Thomas, 

I've found two sites that list races by state and seem quite
comprehensive. However, these sites do not sort these races also by
the length and conditions of the swimming part (although one of them
does list how long the swimming part would be). I couldn't find a site
sorting races by the type of swimming event. Your question is about to
expire. If you're still interested in an answer, you might want to
consider posting it again, and either:
- Accept sites that do not list the type of swimming event; or, 
- Define that you'd still like to have sorting by swimming event, but
listing the sites you've already visited (as czh-ga has suggested).

Hi -

I had visited http://www.triclubsandiego.org/ and then had searched
from there (but could not find pool events). I'm really just most
interested in seeing what (if any) triathlons in any west-of-the-Miss
states use pools for their swim event.

Since I'm looking for a compiled list should I increase the price? 
What I'm trying to avoid is filtering all possible sites or events;
rather I would like to be provided with candidates (that is, those
with a pool event).  I tried to reflect that work in the price but
will increase if that's what it will take.
