Hi!

The Google Answers FAQ mentions that you can use this as a homework
tool but discourages actually making the homework itself.

In lieu of this, would it be ok to just give a list of links to
articles about this topic? You can read them to get additional
insights to your research.

Would this be acceptable as an answer?

Thanks!

If you know why there is family at begining, then you can figue out
the reasons that make it decline. A evolutional point of view how
family come to be would be helpful.

Human is social animal, and the social element just one scal above
individual is family. Members of a society depending on each other in
such a form that family is a relation that support their way of
living.

For one point, human cannot live by itself when he is infant or aged.
Family is so important for the human survival in history that infants
and ageds depend on family as their security. However, with the
production mode changed into market econmy, combined with the building
of social security net, the form of social relation shift from kinship
to money transaction. In fact, many functions of family are replaced
by institutions, such as daycare, nursing house, and technique school
for the father-son apprentice practice.

Market favors the movement of labor force, which will be more easy to
move with smaller family size. As a result, market forces the family
size to reduce from extended clan to nuclear form, and finaly
diminished into individual.

Beside the social security and skills education poit of view, you can
also examine the phenomenon form the point of wealth accumulation and
and distribution, emotional support etc. The key points are the
evolution of ways of production and living.

There are bisically endless point to examine the subjet, you may find one yourself.

Hope this helps.
