I have a MAC G4 tower with a hard drive split between OS9 and OSX. In addition, it contains old passwords and administrative rights from a previous owner. Can you please tell me how to uninstall everything and start from scratch. I would like to end up w. only OSX and my own login and pw. |

you need installation CDs. If the previous owner didn't give them to you, you should buy OS X at an apple store, or from a mac retailer. The manuals included with the Cds have all the info you need. Basically, you will boot up from the CD (holding the C key down) and select an OS X only install option. Personally, I would open up disk utility from within the installer and reformat the hard drive. |
