When looking at Microsoft Outlook's Calendar (I believe 2000 version),
I also used to be able to see the Task Bar on the same screen. This
was the default after installation.

Now, the Task Bar is no longer on the screen with my calendar (5 work
week, 7 day, or 31 month view). Please help me find the option to see
the Task Bar at the same time as the Calendar.

Hi pigme,

I'm not sure if this works in Outlook 2000 (I have 2003).

Open calendar > View > click on Taskpad.

Let me know if this is what you are trying to view.

Best regards,
Rainbow

You should be able to right-click in the area where the task bar
should appear and choose the "Standard" task bar. This will display
the task bar for you.

The alternative is to use the menus by clicking VIEW | TOOLBARS | STANDARD

If you don't see the TOOLBARS option, try clicking on the little
graphic at the bottom of the menu that points downward to display the
less-accessed features.

Hope that answers your question!
Regards,
Carlos

The task bar is already on Standard.

If I wasn't clear, by "Task Bar", I meant "Tasks". Outlook allows you
to choose Inbox, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks. I was able to view
Calendar and Tasks on the same screen before (i.e., the calendar was
squeezed horizontally to fit in the Tasks on the right side of the
screen).

Nope. I tried virtually every permutation on the File / Edit / View /
etc. Thanks for trying.

Dear kauaidawn-ga,

That worked! I would like to give you credit for the answer, but I
think you have to put some text under Answers instead of Comments.

Thanks.

Hmm, I just noticed that Outlook will not automatically save the Tasks
w/ Calendar as a default. I have to re-drag the bar every time I
close the software or change views.

Any way to make this permanent? Thanks!

Glad it worked pigme. I am not an answerer but couldn't stand it that
you had not gotten a correct answer after so long so I guess you get a
freebe. I'm glad you got to see my answer before it was removed with
my business number...ooops. Didn't understand why as it's not private
nor is the person's id revealed to me if they use it. Anyway, as for
your next issue of it not saving the view that is not by design and is
most likely because of updates not being done on your office suite. I
hope it's the updates, as that is the easy answer. Go to
Microsoft.com / Click on Office Update on the left frame of the
window / Click on "Check for updates" . continue to follow the
prompts to have your machine updated. You must have your Office CD
for htis to work. Even if this does not work you should do it for
security updates anyway. After you restart your computer open outlook
and see if that let you save your view. Hope this helps. KauaiDawn
