Question ID: 51329
This is the 3rd time I am trying!!!!

THE BMW Z-8 WAS INTODUCED IN THE USA IN MID 2000.
THE STICKER PRICE WAS ABOUT $ 135,000.
THERE WAS A VERY SHORT SUPPLY BETWEEN SEPT 2000 AND DEC 2000 WHICH
DROVE UP THE PRICE IN THE $200,000 RANGE

SO...
WHAT WAS THE AVERAGE SELLING PRICE FOR A USA VERSION Z-8 ON THE EAST
COAST OF THE USA BETWEEN SEPT 2000 AND DEC 2000????

CAN THIS BE DOCUMENTED???

Would a quote from the Kelly blue book from that time be sufficient?
Or are you seeking newspaper "for sale" ads from the east coast?

It appears he is seeking the
inflated "demand" price for
this vehicle. Yet... specifies
the average selling price.
Which would in effect include
the retail sales price, no?

cozak,

Would you like the average
inflated sales price, or the
average price including those
that sold at normal prices?

Where on the east coast...
NY would be a lot higher than
Virginia and North Carolina
I would say. So would Miami.

Cozak, have you checked out
the archives of a paper local
to the demographic zone you
are interested in?

There are some owners of the year you
mentioned on this BMW classified site.
You could possibly contact their owners
and just ask?

TO
A quote or newspaper ad would not be sufficient and I need a bill of
sale or some public records from a state DMV to acertain the sale
price.

Cozak,

ok since you will accept publicly
available DMV records, would you
mind selecting a state?

YES, I WOULD LIKE THE AVERAGE INFLATED PRICE BECAUSE THE OVERWHELMING
MAJORITY SOLD FOR WELL OVER STICKER. IN ADDITION I NEED DOCUMENTAION
IN EITHER A BILL OF SALE OR SOME PUBLIC OFFICIAL RECORD FROM DMV THAT
COULD ALSO VERIFY THE ACTUAL SELLING PRICE.

THE BEST STATES WOULD BE IN NY,CT,PA,NJ,FLA WHICH SEEMINGLY WERE THE
HOTTEST MARKETS AND HAD THE MOST FRENZIED BUYERS

Ahh, thank you cozak,
with that info I'm
sure one of us should
be able to turn up an
answer for you.

Would 5 pieces of documentation
suffice for the averaging?

YES..5 PIECES WOULD BE GREAT SINCE IT WOULD BE AN UNBIASED AVERAGE,
BILLS OF SALE OR DMV DOCUMENTS WOULD BE THE MOST CREDIBLE

THANK YOU

HAS ANYONE FOUND THE DOCUMENTATION I NEED FOR THAT Z-8????
THANKS

I still need at least 2-5 pieces of documentation of what the average
market price was for a BMW Z-8 DURING Sept-Dec 2000. Any bill of sales
from owners or DMV sales tax documentation will suffice. The cars sold
should be in the
NY/NJ/CT tri state area.
I will also Up the ante to $100 for such information
