Would like to identify a piece of artwork. I saw a reproduction of this oil painting. The colors are predominately black and white. It is a winter scene outside wooden stables with snow on the ground and thin fog. There is no sunlight so it must be early morning or bad weather?? A youngish man is standing with his back to the viewer but is turning to look back over his shoulder at us. He is wearing what looks like riding clothes and high boots. The period appears to be 1600-1800's but I'm no expert. Sorry for sketchy details, but I last saw this a long time ago. |
