In the slide master view, move and rotate the footer so that it will
display vertically on the sideband?  Give me a Demo

Hello ltread411-ga,

Good day!

Follow the following steps:
1. In the master view, select the footer 
2. Click on the "Free Rotate" button (on the drawing toolbar)
3. The footer text-box will be surrounded by 4 green circles
4. Position the cursor on the top left circle & rotate the footer
clock-wise till it becomes vertically-aligned
5. As a last step, drag the footer to anywhere on the master to
position it to your liking
