Pinkfreud, in her comment below, is correct on both counts; 1)Google
Answers can not dispense medical advice, and 2)that you need proper
medical care. Acetaldehyde is a harmful toxin that can accumulate in
your body from cigarette and/or alcohol use/abuse. Acetaldehyde is a
by product of alcohol metabolism. Patients who take Antabuse for
alcoholism, yet continue to drink alcohol develop "acetaldehyde
syndrome" caused by Antabuse inhibiting the breakdown of acetaldehyde.
Symptoms include headaches, nausea, vomiting and dizziness. If you
feel you have a higher than "tolerated" level of acetaldehyde, for ANY
reason, getting proper medical help is imperative!
In case you are concerned about "environmental or ambient"
acetaldehyde, I am posting a short list of websites that sell
"formulas" or "herbal remedies" for acetaldehyde accumulation. None of
the products claim to remove acetaldehyde quickly! These sites are not
recommended by Google Answers, nor myself, and are not intended to
replace proper health care from your medical provider. If you feel you
are accumulating this toxin, remember, the first step in removing
acetaldehyde is to stop smoking and/or drinkingand remove yourself
from environmental or ambient causes!
Remember also that taking large doses of Vitamin A,(or any product,
for that matter), can be harmful.
