Other than carbon or charcoal filters, what kind of filters can be
used to filter PCBs or polybrominated diphenylethers?

I believe diatamaceous earth filters are used to filter PCBs in some
site cleanup situations, but I'm not sure about polybrominated
diphenylethers.

Is there any more context you can offer -- what sort of situation is
it in which the chemicals would be filtered? A laboratory? A
hazardous waste site? An old industrial transformer? Any additional
details would help.

Thanks.

The setting is more a lab setting or perhaps commercial, where the
PCB's etc are filtered. Not large volumes. In particular, wanted to
know if materials like polyamides, acylics, polyesters, polyolefins or
cellulose would work as filter materials.
