If you are determined to take I-78 as part of your drive, follow the
directions given by blader to get to the Garden State Parkway
South.....but....take Exit 142 onto I-78 West (about 7 miles south of
where you enter the GSP).

Follow I-78 West for about 20 miles to the intersection with I-287.

Take I-287 South toward Somerville/Shore Points for about 11 miles to
the Exit #10 toward Easton Avenue/S.Bound Brook/New Brunswick (State
Route#527).

Follow Easton Avenue toward South Bound Brook...The first traffic
light is Davidson Avenue. Take a left turn. You can't turn right at
that point since you are hard up against the Raritan/Delaware Canal on
the right.

There are several hotels along Davidson Avenue as well as a NJ
Convention Center. Marriott, Westin, Hampton Inn, Summerfield Suites,
Marriott Courtyard etc....

Enjoy your trip..

seedy (who traveled from Union Avenue in Bridgewater, NJ to Easton
Avenue on Route 287 before it was officially opened (about 1960)
commuting to Rutgers from Somerville, NJ....)
