I have an original oil painting of my Grand mother. On the rear of the
painting is the name and address of Geo Rowney. On the front in the
lower right hand corner are the initials C M and either 84 or S4. I
would like to know more about this painting and who was the artist?

Geo. Rowney and Co were artists' colour and pencil makers, and
suppliers of art equipment. You?ll find a history of the company on
