Qué significa la palabra 'Búsqueda'? Here's an example of where it's used. ://www.google.com/intl/es/ This does't seem to be conjugation of buscar, and also I wonder if it has any connection to the word queda, meaing 'it stays'or 'it fits'. Also, is the sentence I wrote above grammatically correct. Would a short for it: Qué significa 'Búsqueda'? be correct. Also, what is the name of the upside down question mark (in english and spanish) and how can I type it on a standard keyboard? |

Hi!! Búsqueda is a noun and means search, it is related to the verb buscar (which is its root) and the spanish definition is: "acción de buscar" (the act of searching). Regarding the question marks the "?" the english name is question mark and the upside down one "¿" is an opening question mark (in spanish signos de interrogación de apertura, that is the name with I know it). In spanish both marks are used; the opening to start the question and the other to close the question. There are also two exclamation marks used in spanish "!" and "¡" (opening and closing exclamation marks) To write them use the following: ALT + 168 = ¿ ALT + 173 = ¡ The phrase "Qué significa Búsqueda?" is well written but you forgot the opening question mark ¿ . Hope the this helps. Feel free to request for a clarification if you find this answer unclear and/or incomplete. Regards. livioflores-ga | |

Just an additional tidbit: In Microsoft Word, the opening question mark is referred to as the inverted question mark and a handy shortcut to type it in Word is ctrl+alt+?. Same with the inverted exclamation mark: ctrl+alt+!. Regards, IndexTurret |
