Should be an easy excel question. I would like to make an if statement with text with multiple values. Right now I can do an if statement like this... (formula is =+IF(D5="Tribeca",3,IF(D5="Upper West Side",4))) this si good, but i can only do this 4 times. I would like to produce a much more exensive code list. For instance, a single corresponding code with text, but an extensive list... anyway someone could help me with this, is it possible? Excel has several "Lookup" functions just for this kind of purpose. http://www.ozgrid.com/Excel/excel-vlookup-formula.htm |
