Should be an easy excel question. I would like to make an if
statement with text with multiple values.
Right now I can do an if statement like this...
(formula is =+IF(D5="Tribeca",3,IF(D5="Upper West Side",4)))

this si good, but i can only do this 4 times. I would like to produce
a much more exensive code list. For instance, a single corresponding
code with text, but an extensive list...
anyway someone could help me with this, is it possible?

Excel has several "Lookup" functions just for this kind of purpose.
