I am looking for something like a shower cap for my factory.  I plan
to use it as a protectant for the base of a cylinder while i paint the
rest of it.  i just need something to hold onto the botton of a
cylinder and protect the base while i paint the cylinder. its ok if
the "shower cap" comes over the cylinder a couple of inches.  the
cylinders range from 8" to 17" in diameter so something flexible and
that will hold on to these sizes pretty well. ideally i want an
elastic film the shape of the cup that will stretch and grab onto the
base of the cylinders. i've tried looking for vendors for this kind of
product but cant find any. can you find me some?

Maybe I don't understand your description, but it seems that the clear
kitchen foil would do the trick, the thin stuff that sticks to itself.
 Maybe tape it around the edge of the cylinder and then smooth it
together around the base so that it sticks to itself.
