Two places to look. The American Medical Association which says as of 2000, 813,000 You can view the demographics at: http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/2676.html Alternatively, you can view the census which has the category "Health diagnosing and treating practitioners and technical occupations" of which there are 4,144,065 http://www.census.gov/prod/2003pubs/c2kbr-25.pdf |
