Hello danielaqh-ga! The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Fact Sheet for 2004 states that there are 54,087 living D.O.s. http://www.osteopathic.org/pdf/ost_factsheet.pdf I've looked at some of your other questions and see that you seek statistical and demographic information, so I think you'll appreciate the above link. It contains a lot of information, including statistics on D.O.s by age, gender, and specialty and a chart that shows how many D.O.s there are in each state.
