In what way is the print media more free of government control than
broadcast media in the United States?

Print something and it's free speech. Broadcast something and it's
subject to regulation through the FCC, which makes lots of rules. The
reasoning is that you can choose not to view a book, but you can't
choose a station without being exposed to it.
