Round up: =CEILING(ref,5) Round down: =FLOOR(ref,5) where ref is a number or cell reference. |

It's a side-effect of Giggle's system. Only ordained researchers can get paid. Those in the "peanut gallery" do it for... ummmm ... there was a reason.... |

Google CC: I recently used your Google Answers service and found it very quick, accurate and I will use it again! I don't understand why I am not being charged, as it has saved me time, searching for the answers myself? And more importantly someone took their time, to answer so I think they should be paid? Anyway, not a complaint just feedback. Cheers Brett Australia |

Excel is one of those areas where there are people like me who know excel well and can answer most most questions. It is hard to compete against excel people. Excel power users are like a cult. They enjoy answering questions/ Bragging rights. |

Thanks again for your time. While I have you experts, I will ask a question about matching data in Excel. Say COL A has a list of data, which has corresponding data in COL B. Now what I want to do is enter in new data into COL C and place a formula in COL D which will do the following: When data in COL A = data in COL C show COL B data in COL D (Confused yet?) COL A COL B COL C COL D sbl 6/25/05 msft 8/21/05 msft 6/19/05 sbl 6/25/05 ibm 6/2/05 msft 8/21/05 cat 10/25/05 Thanks in advance! |
