Hi - It looks to me like www.browsercam.com offer an interesting and
useful service but I'd like to be sure it's priced fairly.

Find me one or two companies providing a broadly similar service who
are sufficiently open about their pricing that I could compare.

The companies you find would still be acceptable to me if they had a
less extensive range of browsers or if they lacked the remote access
option.

Thanks.

I've been researching the same question and found the following
http://www.netmechanic.com/browser-index.htm#pricing_list

Does anyone know how it compares?

I only know of Browsershots, which offers some services for free. In
some aspect that service is even better, because it can capture
several "pages" of output (scrolling while taking the shot).
BrowserCam will only take a screenshot of one "page", but you can tell
it to press Page Down a few times and thus at least get a different
"page" than just the first one.

Browsershots is mainly interesting because it allows you to build such
a service for your own use, for example for internal use.

Oh, the URL: http://browsershots.org/

And just a personal note about BrowserCam: I have used it and am a
very happy customer. I especially find the VNC-access to other machine
types very helpful. It's a lot easier to debug a problem in a layout
with direct access than with taking screenshots which can take a few
minutes to finish.
