I need to contrast VRRP versus GateD (gatedaemon) for high network
availability. Now I found a lot of information on VRRP, but GateD has
eluded me with clear resourses and explanation. Any RFC numbers on
GateD would be greatly valuable.

Thank,

There is some information on GateD here: [ http://www.gated.org/ ]

Since it's a proprietary technology, there is probably no RFC for it,
although its construction or design may be based on one or more RFCs.
