I have a small MCU device that communicates to a GPS via standard, 9-pin RS232. There are very inexpensive "dongles" available (under $10) for PCs to communicate with Bluetooth enabled GPS and other devices. I would like to implement a Bluetooth interface as an alternative to 9-pin RS232 for my device. I would be satisfied with some references to inexpensive modules or chips (under $50) that would accomplish this. Any MCU application notes or reference material would be greatly appreciated. I tip pretty well, also. :) |

Hi, The cheapest Bluetooth adadpter I found for RS232/DB9 is at $80: http://www.qualitycables.com/productdetails1.cfm?sku=USBG-BM1A&cats=106 The Cordless Serial Adapter is more pricey but has an application about flow control: http://www.socketcom.com/product/CS0400-479.asp?View=Specs Hope this helps.
