Question ID: 515981
Can MRI results be transmitted digitally? If a MRI is performed in a
hospital could it be viewed in another hospital via digital transfer?
Does all MRI technology support this?

This (article) indicates that CAT scans can be viewed over the net,
but not specifically MRI. (Although I'll assume that).

I'd still like to know if there is any special ability needed for
this, or is it fairly common.

Sorry, it was obnoxious of me to answer without explanation or
references, but I'll let a real GA researcher do that. In the
meantime, if you Google [outsourcing radiology], you'll see lots of
stuff related to this growing phenomenon.
