There is a prehistoric pueblo in Northern Arizona called Awatovi
(sometimes spelled Awatobi). This pueblo is considered "anasazi" and
its inhabitants ancestral to modern Hopi. However, archaeologists
believe Awatovi was populated by people who did not speak Hopi and
were from a different language group than Hopi who are Uto-Aztecan
speakers. What language do archaeologists think the inhabitants of
Awatovi spoke. This answer must include a complete reference/citation
of the source where the answer comes from.
