Hello monkeypants-ga First quality refers to it being of the higest quality. Think of it as a chart saying: Best Good Fair Poor Unusable The definition for Open Stock is: "an approach to dinnerware retailing in which the ware is sold in individual pieces or small groups rather than in complete, predetermined compositions or sets. Implied, also, is the fact that patterns offered in open stock will be available for an indefinate period following their introduction." So, this would be Best Quality, sold by the piece and not by the set. ://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&c2coff=1&q=what+is+%22open+stock%22&btnG=Search I hope this helps, Nenna-GA Google Answers Researcher |

It means that the item is not pre-owned, factory seconds or part of a discontinued series. The item is new, and not something you would find at an outlet or a secondhand store. |
