Hi helpp, The Garmin GPS 10 uses bluetooth for connection to the computer. I'm assuming your Mac Powerbook has bluetooth. If so, then I don't see why it would not work. The only potential problem is if the mapping software will be compatible with the Garmin GPS. The included software with Garmin is for Windows only, from what I can gather.
