Two fine silver electrodes are mounted in a chamber and connected to a variable 0 to 50V dc supply. The dc supply can be adjusted from 100m/A in increments of 100m/A to 1Ampere. The chamber is connected to a running tap water supply where the water flow rate can be adjusted, in increments, from 1 to 10 Litres/min. How do I calculate the concentrations of silver ions in ppm for any given water flow rate or electric current flow rate? Would the same calculations apply if the silver electrodes were replaced using fine copper electrodes? |
