You previously answered one of my questions regarding Old Bailey trial
information and I now find I will be in London from May 13 to 22,
2005. Could you do some more specific research as to cases which I
might watch during my stop in London. I am not interested in
commercial cases, more of the muder and mayhem variety. As before,
Old Bailey cases would take precedence, but cases at the Royal Courts
of Justice are of interest as well. I am staying in Central London,
so will be close to either venue.

P.S. I suppose the Sion Jenkins trial will be over by the time I get there.

Dear vancouver2010-ga,
Thank you for your further question on this subject. I shall try and
help you on this one. What is the latest date you would require this
information, or do you intend accessing the internet while you are
staying in the UK? The reason I ask this is it may not be until the
Thursday or Friday before you arrive that I will be able to identify
some suitable cases. This is because some trials may only last two or
three days. I'm not sure the Jenkins trial will still be on-going, I
shall keep a watching brief on that one.

I will have access to the internet in the UK, so I could check back
with you as late as Thursday, May 12 when I arrive. Many thanks.

I?ve had a preliminary look as to what is happening at the Old Bailey
and these are some cases which may interest you. This is, however,
only a preliminary report. I?ll up-date you later this week. Remember
that some cases may only last two or three days. Those below are long
term trials.

Court 1: The Jenkins trial is still on-going. Last Friday it was
reported in the press that the jury visited the scene of the crime.
The trail may well be still be going on when you visit.
Court 3: Murder

Dear vancouver2010-ga,

I shall post this as answer now, but I shall continue to monitor the
situation until perhaps the middle of next week.

This is Thursday?s list (12 May) of Old Bailey cases which may
interest you. As I indicated in my previous answer, you can download
the next day?s list after 5pm UK time by going to
http://www.courtnews2.co.uk/courtlists/current/indexdailies.htm
Scroll down the page to ?Central Criminal Court? and click on the link
for the current day?s list and the next day?s list.

Some cases I have referred to before, and some have now finished.

Court 1
Jenkins: Murder. No recent reports. Probably finishing off the
prosecution case. I speculate the defence case could start soon.
Court 2
Malone & others: Now found guilty.

Ogunbe: No information
Court 3

Other courts are engaged in administrative matters or are not sitting.
Monday may see some new trials in these courts.

The Royal Courts of Justice Lists are available on this page. Click on
?Daily Cause List?. It is a word document.
http://www.courtnews2.co.uk/courtlists/current/indexrcj.htm

The section of the list you require is probably ?The Court Of Appeal
Criminal Division?. These are appeal cases from the criminal courts.
In today?s list it is in Court 4 & 5. From looking the list it does
not appear evidence will be heard. They are applications by
prosecution or defence and will probably be just the barrister setting
out the reasons for the appeal. I have not identified any noteworthy
cases. The court also deals with civil matters including trials. You
will see that the list is over 16 pages long. I have not identified
nay noteworthy civil cases from the list.

I hope this has been of use. I shall continue with up-dates.
