Hello Valko,

I can provide you with the following figures. Please let me know if it
serves your purpose.

- $value of diamond engagement ring sales in the U.S. (2004)
- average price of diamond engagement rings in the U.S. (2004)
- $value of Diamond Right Hand Ring sales in the U.S. (2004)
- percent of women that are aware of the right hand ring

Of those that are aware of the right hand ring:
- the percentage that desire to purchase or receive one.
- the percentage that are considering a diamond ring of some kind.

- The number of engangement rings sold each year.

Thanks,
Bobbie7

Thank you,
I already have engagement ring sales figures. I need the number for
total diamond ring sales and pieces sold.

Hi!

I was able to find the total diamond jewelry sales in the US for 2004
but no information on the number of pieces. The figure is only for
total dollar sales or value.

Will this be ok as an answer?

Thanks!

Thank you for the information so far, but I currently have:
1. Total diamond jewelry sales for the US
2. Total engagement ring sales for the US ($ & pieces)
3. I now have non bridal fashion diamond ring sales ($ only)(thank you
ltang-ga, I'll make it up to you when I get this finished)
4. I still need a firmer number, as I need to figure the average
retail price which I can only do once I have the quantities.

The reason I need this is for average price comparison purposes with
other major markets (where I do have sales and # of pieces)
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

Feeling generous today, and it seems that what you're looking for is
pretty difficult to come up with. So here is what I came up with. The
closest I have come across to total diamond rings (not diamond
jewelry) sold in US (2004) is this:

diamond ring engagement category: $4.5 billion
non-bridal fashion diamond ring category: $3.8 billion

I don't know if there exist any other "diamond ring categories". But I
highly doubt it, so I would just add the 2 to find the total you are
looking for.

For the "non-bridal fashion diamond ring category", the figure I got
is a little ambiguous (refer below). Unsure if the 3.8 billion is
before or afer the 15%:

"In 2004, the Diamond Right Hand Ring drove the $3.8 billion
non-bridal fashion diamond ring category from an underperforming
section of the market into one that grew by 15 percent."

As for the number of pieces sold, good luck to the researchers helping
you out. Hope this helps.

Cheers.
