More than 1 billion glass vials are filled every year in the USA.
It seems that glass vials were used for several human growth hormones,
like Epogen, Procrit, Nutropin,Serostim, Neupogen and another class
are the several IVIG products and anti AIDS therapies, but, vials are
also used for lower retail valued items like insulin. I suspect that
now there are many vials being used for new monoclonal antibody
thereapies (Herceptin for breast cancer, Soluble TNF receptor, Anti
TNF alpha, anti B cell Lymphoma anti CD20, and anti angiogenesis ,
anti VGEF antibodies - all for clinical trials.
1. I would like a distribution of the numbers of different types of
injectable products sold in glass vials.
I have recieved a few chapters of a freedonia report on this and have
collected quite some info from the internet that I would gladly share.
The following companies -Amgen, Genentech, Baxter Healthcare, Roche,
Elli Lilly, Serono, Pfizer will probably cover the major players.
Annual reports will give an idea of their turnovers.
2. If possible,we would also like to recieve the information as to
whom in the relevant companies should be contacted as we have a
patented method that enables us to authenticate glass vials directly
by placing an invisible bar code in the vial . We want to approach
companies that are selling parenteral drugs - and have had trouble
with counterfeiting and offer them this ability.
I will provide all the info I currently have collected that will be
very useful to get to the correct folks. Please send me an e mail to
gautamthor@earthlink.net and I can gladly send all info required. |
