Dear zny,
Through comparison of specification and design details, I came to the
conclusion that Sterling's Commander-AT2 and Commander-AT3 are
derivates of the ACME II ACM EII series of lunchbox computers, that
the Aztec-ATX3 and Aztec-ATX5 are based on the Hercules HTII series,
and that the Aztec-ATX is a derivate of the SAX series of portables.
All those machines - the ACME II, the Hercules and the SAX - are
manufactured by the Taiwanese computer manufacturer ACME Portable
Corporation. While they distribute their regular portables models
under their own name (in the USA, by the Los Angeles-based American
mother company ACME Portable Machines, Inc.), they obviously sell the
derivates that differ in various technical and optical details from
the ACME-branded machines to other distributors.
The products catalog of manufacturer ACME Portable Corp. will show you
the computers Sterling's Commander and Aztec lunchboxes are based on:

Here is contact information for both the manufacturer, ACME Portable
Corp. in Taiwan, and the American mother company, ACME Portable

I could not find out what models Sterling's Commander-AT4 and
Aztec-ATX6 are based on; but I could imagine that they are also ACME
products, maybe such not distributed under the ACME brand at all.
I hope that this will be helpful.
Regards,
Scriptor
